The Site and Service are operated by Lone Star Book Rescue, a for-profit business based in Texas. By accessing the Site or requesting a pickup, you agree to be bound by these Terms. 1. Nature of the Service
ConroeBookDonations.com facilitates free pickup of books and media (such as CDs, DVDs, and similar items) in Conroe, The Woodlands, Willis, and the surrounding areas of Montgomery County, Texas. Pickups are offered at our discretion and may be declined or rescheduled based on location, volume, safety, and other operational factors.
The Service is operated as a for-profit business. Donated items may be:
- Resold online or locally for profit
- Donated or redistributed to schools, nonprofits, or community organizations
- Recycled or responsibly disposed of if unusable
Unless clearly stated otherwise, donations made through this Service are not tax-deductible, and we do not provide charitable donation receipts.
2. Eligibility to Use the Service
By using the Site or requesting a pickup, you represent that:
- You are at least 18 years old or have the legal authority to schedule a pickup at the property
- You have the right to donate the items you are offering
- You will provide accurate contact and location information
3. Scheduling and Pickup Conditions
When you request a pickup, we may:
- Contact you by phone, email, or text to confirm details
- Ask for approximate quantity and type of items
- Confirm where items will be placed (porch, garage, lobby, etc.)
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to:
- Decline a pickup request
- Limit the volume of items we take at one time
- Reschedule due to weather, traffic, safety, or operational constraints
- Refuse items that are unsafe, infested, moldy, severely damaged, or otherwise unusable
4. Property Access and Safety
By requesting a pickup, you agree that:
- You authorize a representative of Lone Star Book Rescue to enter your property only to the extent reasonably necessary to collect the donated items (for example, your driveway, porch, or other agreed area).
- You will ensure that the path to the items is reasonably safe and free of hazards where possible.
- Loose pets, obstacles, or unsafe conditions may result in a canceled or modified pickup.
We are not responsible for pre-existing damage to your property or for conditions outside our control.
5. No Guarantee to Accept or Keep Specific Items
We do not guarantee that any particular item will be accepted, retained, resold, or donated. Once items are picked up, they generally become the property of Lone Star Book Rescue, and we may:
- Sell them through various channels
- Donate or redistribute them
- Recycle or dispose of them if necessary
6. Informational Nature of the Site
All content on the Site (including blog posts, FAQs, and descriptions) is provided for general informational purposes only. Nothing on the Site is intended to:
- Provide legal, tax, financial, or professional advice
- Guarantee acceptance of any item or any specific outcome from using the Service
